Olympics 2024: Belarus’ Bardzilouskaya secures silver in trampoline

MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – Trampoliner Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya has won the first medal of the 2024 Paris Olympics for Belarus, BelTA has learned.

In the qualification the Belarusian scored 56.340 to place second for the final behind Xueying Zhu of China. In the final the Belarusian scored 56.060, the result which was beaten only by Bryony Page of the UK, who scored 56.480. Bronze went to Sophiane Methot of Canada.


The Olympic silver for the 19-year-old Belarusian is so far the best achievement in her sporting career. Before that Viyaleta Bardzilouskaya placed seventh at the 2022 FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Cup in Baku. This season the Belarusian placed 10th at the tournament in Azerbaijan and 12th at the event in Germany.
