HC Dinamo Minsk to wrap up road trip in Cherepovets

MINSK, 8 January (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk will play the third and final game of their first away series of 2026 on 8 January, BelTA has learned.

The Minsk Bisons will be hosted by HC Severstal Cherepovets, one of their rivals for a higher spot in the standings. In their current road trip, the Minsk side has lost both games: to Traktor in Chelyabinsk (4-5) and to CSKA in Moscow (2-4). Meanwhile, HC Severstal Cherepovets kicked off the new year by defeating HC Lada Togliatti at home (4-2), only to lose to HC Spartak Moscow afterwards (1-2). Both teams have earned 57 points and currently share second place in the Western Conference, with HC Severstal Cherepovets having played two more games.

This season, the clubs from Minsk and Cherepovets have already faced each other three times. The Minsk Bisons won the first match on 26 September (4-2), while the Cherepovets side were stronger in the two subsequent encounters on 1 October and 18 November (5-2 and 4-2, respectively). In the upcoming away game, HC Dinamo Minsk forward Vadim Shipachyov could reach a career milestone of 1,000 points in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). The match starts at 5.00 p.m. Minsk defenseman Xavier Ouellet will miss the game due to medical reasons.
