Dinamo Minsk top SKA as Enas breaks club point streak record

MINSK 20 January (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk have secured the second victory in their ongoing away series of the KHL regular season, BelTA has learned.

In the third game of their road trip, the Bisons faced HC SKA Saint Petersburg. The first period ended 1-0 in favor of the Minsk team, with Stanislav Galiyev scoring on a power play. The Russian forward was assisted by Sam Enas, who extended his point streak to 11 consecutive games, setting a new club record for the longest scoring streak. The previous record of 10 games was set by Joe Pavelski in the 2012/13 season and later matched by Enas in the 2023/24 season.

At the start of the second period, Nicolas Meloche doubled the visitors’ lead, but ten minutes later the scoreboard was level at 2-2. Nevertheless, just seconds before the intermission, the Bisons regained their lead thanks to Vadim Shipachyov. In the third period, the home team equalized once again, pushing the game towards overtime. However, with just thirty seconds remaining on the clock, Galiyev scored his second goal of the night, securing a 4-3 victory for Dinamo.

The Minsk club now shares the top spot in the Western Conference with Severstal and Lokomotiv, with all three teams holding 63 points. The fourth and final match of the away series for Dmitry Kvartalnov’s team will be against HC Yaroslavl on 21 January.
