MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes won 16 medals at the Best Athletes Cup: Speed Skating which completed in Minsk on 28 February, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian national team clinched five gold, five silver and six bronze medals. Champion titles were claimed by Hanna Damaratskaya (1,000m), Maryna Zuyeva (3,000m), Yahor Damaratsky (5,000m), Viktor Rudenko (1,500m), and the trio in the women’s team sprint.
Ignat Golovatsiuk clinched two silver (500m and 1,000m) and bronze medal (Mass Start). Yahor Damaratsky took bronze in 1,500m, while his wife Hanna Damaratskaya collected silver in 500m and bronze in 1,500m.
Maryna Zuyeva was second in the Mass Start, Viktor Rudenko – third in 1,000m. The Belarusian team claimed silver in the sprint. Belarusian athletes clinched bronze medals in the both pursuits.
