MINSK, 8 December (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes claimed two medals at the SAMBO Cup of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia’s Kazan, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Sports and Tourism Ministry.
Daniela Zhdan of Belarus secured gold in the 65kg event. In the final the Belarusian defeated Russia’s Ekaterina Doroshenko. Karyna Shut of Belarus collected silver in the 80kg event.
Competing in Kazan were over 120 athletes from six countries: Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
