MINSK, 28 December (BelTA) - The prestigious multi- 2025/2026 Tour de Ski has kicked off in Toblach, Italy, featuring Belarusian athletes, BelTA has learned.
The program of the traditional end-of-year tournament began with freestyle sprint races. Ninety athletes participated in the women's qualification, with Belarusian Hanna Karaliova finishing 57th. Another Belarusian athlete, Hanna Machakhina, who previously secured a quota for the Winter Olympic Games, placed 74th. The top 30 women advanced to the quarterfinals.
Individual start classic style races will be held tomorrow. Mass start races will take place on 31 December, followed by pursuit races on 1 January. The skiers will then move to Val di Fiemme, where they will compete in sprint and mass start events on 3 and 4 January.
