MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes are set to compete in the 2025 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Indonesia, scheduled for 19-26 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.
The men's team will be represented by Yahor Sharamkou and Aleh Tsiaselki. Yahor Sharamkou will be a medal contender in his signature events, the floor exercise and vault, while Aleh Tsiaselski will compete in all apparatus finals. This season, Yahor Sharamkou has won a full set of medals (gold, silver, and bronze) at various World Cup stages, in addition to a silver medal at the Paris Challenge Cup. Aleh Tsiaselski is the reigning all-around national champion of Belarus.
On the women's side, Alena Tsitavets will compete on the uneven bars and balance beam, and Ulyana Kuzmenkova – on all four apparatuses. Earlier this year, Alena Tsitavets won a gold medal on the uneven bars at the Baku World Cup, while Ulyana Kuzmenkova was a medalist at the Top Athletes Cup in Moscow.
The global gymnastics forum in Indonesia will bring together nearly 500 athletes from 76 countries.
