Belarus’ Loban 8th in Women’s 20km Interval Start at 2026 Paralympics

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes competed in the individual freestyle races at the XIV Winter Paralympic Games in Italy, BelTA has learned.

The representatives of the LW10-LW12 classes (sitting) were the first to take on the 20km distance. Lidziya Loban of Belarus posted a time of 1:7:22.3 and finished in eighth place out of fifteen participants, while her compatriot Valiantsina Biryla took 13th place. Victory in this event went to South Korea’s Kim Yunji (58:23.3).

In the Women’s 20km Interval Start Free Standing, LW2-LW9 classes, Belarusian Darya Fedzkovich placed 12th, while in Men’s 20km Interval Start Free Standing, Raman Svirydzenka showed a 14th-place result out of 30 athletes. Earlier, our skier won gold in the sprint and silver in the 10km classic individual race.
