MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – The draw for the Women’s European Qualifiers for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup took place in the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian national team was drawn into Group 6 of League C. The opponents for Vyacheslav Grigorov's squad will be the national teams of Armenia and Kazakhstan. The European qualification matches will be played from February to December 2026.
A total of 11 teams from Europe will qualify for the World Cup finals. The winners of the four League A groups will receive direct spots, while a further seven tickets will be contested in playoff matches featuring the best teams from Leagues B and C. The finals will be played from 24 June to 25 August 2027 in Brazil. Thirty-two teams from all continents will compete for the champion's title. The U.S. women's team are four-time world champions, Germany has won the title twice, and the national teams of Spain, Norway, and Japan have each won once.
