MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) - The mixed relay concluded Leg 2 of the 2025/26 Biathlon Commonwealth Cup in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, BelTA has learned.
Sixteen teams from Russia and three teams from Belarus took part in the race. Anna Sola, who ran the first leg for Team Belarus, had to take a penalty loop after the prone shooting and passed the baton in 10th place. Dzinara Smolskaya used only one spare round and moved the team up to 7th place. On the third and fourth legs, Anton Smolski and Dzmitry Lazouski each gained one position, ultimately placing our team in 5th place.
Victory in the mixed relay was secured by Russians Anastasia Grishina, Viktoria Meteleva, Alexander Kornev, and Kirill Bazhin.
After two legs of the Biathlon Commonwealth Cup irill Bazhin leads the men’s overall standings (440 points), while the current tournament champion, Anton Smolski, trails the Russian athlete by 14 points. The women's overall standings are topped by Russia's Natalia Shevchenko (414), with Dzinara Smolskaya in third place (388).
