MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian team has earned a podium finish at the Russian Junior Biathlon Competition for athletes under 20 in Uvat, Russia’s Tyumen Oblast, BelTA has learned.
The bronze medal in the mixed relay went to our team of Hanna Makarskaya, Ulyana Kamornikova, Andrei Kolbanov, and Pavel Matsul. The team from Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug clinched gold, while Tyumen Oblast quartet took silver, trailing the winners by 22 seconds but finishing thirty seconds ahead of Team Belarus.
Sprint races also took place earlier in Uvat. In the men’s event, Matsul came fourth, missing out on the bronze medal by under three seconds. In the women’s race, Kamornikova was the top Belarusian finisher in 12th position.
