Belarus’ Aliaksandr Sidoryk wins 2025 Aktau Asian Open in Kazakhstan

MINSK, 13 October (BelTA) - Belarusian athletes have won four medals at the 2025 Aktau Asian Open international judo tournament in Kazakhstan, BelTA has learned.

On the second and final day of the tournament, 12 October Aliaksandr Sidoryk of Belarus claimed victory in the under 90 kg weight category, while Andrei Shimbaliou won bronze in the same category. Furthermore, Yahor Kukharenka placed fifth in the over 100 kg category, and Mikita Zaitsau finished seventh in the under 81 kg category.

The day before, Hanna Burakova (under 52 kg) won silver at the competition in Kazakhstan, and Yana Makretskaya took bronze (under 63 kg).

In total, 250 athletes from ten countries took part in the 2025 Aktau Asian Open international judo tournament, including 15 Belarusians.
