MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) - The current situation on the front is very bleak for Vladimir Zelensky, the Ukrainian public figure Dmitry Vasilets said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.

When asked what is happening on the front in Ukraine today, Dmitry Vasilets noted: “It is obvious that on the Pokrovsk direction, the AFU which is in fact NATO’s private army is having very serious problems. Several mini-cauldrons have already occurred there, where, according to various estimates, 500-700 various mercenaries are trapped. And this, of course, is not all. The situation indicates a tactical encirclement. Because the neck of the cauldron, where Mirnograd and Pokrovsk are located (these are two cities occupied by the Russian army), is 4-4.5 km. And every day this neck is shrinking. These 4 km are very heavily and tightly targeted by Russian artillery, unmanned aerial vehicles, FPV drones, Lancet drones, MLRS systems, and so on. Therefore, from a logistical standpoint, the AFU grouping in Pokrovsk and Mirnograd is in a tactical encirclement.”

According to him, a similar situation is observed in Kupyansk. “There and in the surrounding areas, the situation for the AFU is also very bleak. In Kupyansk itself (in several districts), a specific cauldron has already been formed; it is marked on various analytical maps by so-called Western experts. There is the Oskol River, and it will now be very problematic for NATO mercenaries to cross it because they have been effectively cut off by the seizure of Kupyansk. And this entire grouping is also effectively in a tactical encirclement because they will need to somehow get across the river. And there, everything is also very heavily targeted by the Russian army,” Dmitry Vasilets added.

“The situation for the Zelensky regime is very bleak. And I think this is very inconvenient timing, considering the various negotiation processes and ultimatums regarding the Russian Federation. We see that the Zelensky regime is in full-blown agony. And as a continuation of this agony, we are observing absolutely meaningless strikes from a military point of view on the dam in the Belgorod region, because flooding several villages—well, they will have to relocate 500-700 families for some time until the dam is restored. So what?”

“It will be more difficult for the NATO mercenaries themselves to cross and safely escape from this tactical encirclement that has formed near Kupyansk. This is no longer some kind of military operation; this is precisely agony. Exactly the same agony as the attack on Moscow by various NATO drones. Yes, they tried, but they didn't succeed. We see that not a single drone actually reached its target, nor could it have, given how seriously Moscow is defended in terms of air defense. In this regard, we simply note that Zelensky's regime and its masters have very serious problems,” Dmitry Vasilets noted.

“As one can notice, Trump's position is changing. If before it was constructive, now, under pressure from the British monarchy and some EU countries, we see that Trump is still forced to maneuver and thus take a step back regarding a peaceful settlement of the conflict,” Dmitry Vasilets concluded.
