GRODNO, 4 November (BelTA) – A joint master’s program for Chinese students and academic mobility were among the cooperation plans discussed by Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno and the Institute of Engineering Technology of Chengdu University of Technology, China, BelTA has learned.
Cooperation between the universities was established with the support of the Charitable Foundation for the Support of Education and Development of Talented Students of the People’s Republic of China. An agreement was signed between Yanka Kupala State University and the Foundation in February 2020. In 2023, during a visit by a delegation from the Grondo University led by Rector Irina Kiturko to China, an agreement on cooperation was signed with the Institute of Engineering Technology at Chengdu University of Technology.
On 3 November, a delegation from the Institute of Engineering Technology of Chengdu University of Technology, headed by Rector Wang Ke, visited Yanka Kupala State University. At a meeting with the university leadership and faculty representatives, also attended by Tian Di, Director of the Managing Committee of the Charitable Foundation, the parties discussed a joint master’s program for students of the Chengdu Institute, as well as the development of academic mobility with Grondo University’s Institute of Innovative Mechanical Engineering Technologies in such fields as materials processing and engineering equipment and with the Institute of Physical Technologies in specialties such as engineering robotics and robotic technologies. The guests were given a tour of the university, its history, and achievements. They visited engineering and physics-technical faculties.
According to Yanka Kupala State University, it actively cooperates with 41 educational institutions in China under existing agreements. These include both technical and pedagogical universities, creating unique opportunities for knowledge exchange and experience sharing, as well as strengthening international ties.
