State program “Society of equal opportunities” for 2026-2030 approved in Belarus

MINSK, 25 December (BelTA) – The government has approved the state program “Society of equal opportunities” for 2026-2030. The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin, BelTA learned from the government’s press service.

The state program consists of two subprograms: “Well-being of the older generation” and “Social inclusion.”

The program aims to improve the accessibility and quality of social support by addressing the distinct needs of senior citizens and people with disabilities. Its implementation is budgeted at Br3.8 billion.

Key targets include increasing the coverage of social services for citizens aged 75 and older and for persons with disabilities to 25% of their total population (230,000 by 2030, an increase of over 50,000 in five years); raising the total number of recipients of social services by at least 15% over the five-year period (430,000 by 2030, an increase of more than 55,000); ensuring at least 95% coverage for persons with disabilities in need of social rehabilitation and habilitation services (a 25% increase over five years); and raising the share of accessible social and transport infrastructure, including the street and road network, to a minimum of 36% of the total number of facilities (increasing them from 33,300 to 38,400).
