MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – An operational exercise of the signal corps of the Armed Forces is being held under the leadership of Chief Signal Officer of the Armed Forces of Belarus, Chief of the Signal Office of the General Staff of Belarus’ Armed Forces Vadim Romaniv from 25 to 29 August, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.
The exercise aims to maintain the combat readiness and operational capability of the communications system and the signal corps. Key features of the exercise will include the involvement of Belarusian industrial and transport enterprises to support the functionality of the communications system of the Armed Forces, and practice of new forms and methods of employing signal forces and assets utilizing aviation assets and UAVs.
The exercise will take place at training grounds, sectors of terrain and stationary facilities across Belarus. During the final stage of the exercise, the communications system will be fully deployed to support the conduct of the joint strategic exercise Zapad 2025. The exercise is being held in accordance with the Armed Forces’ training plan for the current academic year.
