MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Vietnam continue to deepen their cooperation, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Sivak said during a ceremony to mark the 80th anniversary of the independence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, BelTA has learned.
He highlighted the intergovernmental agreement on mutual visa exemption for holders of ordinary passports, which came into force in January. This step has opened new opportunities for personal contacts, increased tourism flows, and expanded business ties.
“The next logical step is the long-overdue launch of direct air service between our countries. We expect the first flight as early as October,” Anatoly Sivak stressed.
He emphasized the vast potential of Belarus-Vietnam cooperation: “We can and must do our utmost to fully realize it.”
