Security chief: Belarus’ national security system is able to respond to all challenges and threats

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) - The country's national security system is ready to respond to all modern challenges and threats, State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich told the media on 22 February, BelTA has learned.

“A recent meeting with the senior staff of the national security agencies under the leadership of the president has shown that we are monitoring the situation. The new facts that the president spoke about at the meeting show that the system of ensuring national security responds to all the risks and challenges, to the changes in the situation,” Aleksandr Volfovich said. “We have information about the plans and schemes of our enemies and timely develop countermeasures to respond to these challenges and threats.”

“Today the national security system is ready to respond to all modern challenges, risks and threats," the state secretary said. “We will ensure safety and order within our cities. Our citizens must stay calm and work peacefully for the sustainable social and economic development of the country.”
