MOSCOW, 20 December (BelTA) – The human rights commissioners of Russia and Ukraine exchanged parcels and letters for prisoners of war on the territory of Belarus, Russian human rights commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova said in her Telegram channel, BelTA learned.
“The human rights commissioners of Russia and Ukraine handed over 1,500 Christmas packages for Russian and Ukrainian prisoners of war and letters from their families and friends within the framework of a joint humanitarian action in Belarus,” Tatyana Moskalkova said.
“During the meeting with the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada commissioner for human rights, we also reviewed the lists of prisoners of war and missing persons and discussed further humanitarian steps to provide assistance to civilians, locate and reunite families and organize mutual visits to see prisoners,” Tatyana Moskalkova added.
