BAIKONUR, 21 March (BelTA) – Roscosmos Executive Director for Manned Space Programs Sergei Krikalev explained what the crew of the manned crew transfer vehicle Soyuz MS-25 will do after the launch was canceled, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Krikalev said: “The launch has been canceled because automatics kicked in after checking the spacecraft’s systems. An anomaly has been found. We are now looking into the cause of this anomaly. Fortunately, automatics kicked in and prevented incorrect operation of other systems of the spacecraft.”
In his words, the crew members are safe: “A bus picked up the crew after they exited the rocket. The crew went to remove the spacesuits. The spacesuits will be prepared for reuse and the crew will be examined by medics. After that the crew will return to the site, the quarantine as well as further preparations for launch will continue.”
