GRODNO, 3 December (BelTA) - Refugees are grateful to Belarus for the support and especially for helping children, one of the refugees in the transport and logistics told Bel
3 December is the 26th day that the refugees have been stranded at the Belarusian-Polish border. They are staying in a transportation and logistics hub near the Belarusian border checkpoint Bruzgi. Refugees, many of whom are women and children, are provided with food, essential, medical assistance.
"We are very grateful to Belarus for help. This is especially important now, when it gets colder every day. We have food, water, children are clothed and have proper footwear. I, too, have everything I need,” the woman said.
Without this help things would have been much more difficult for her, she said. The woman is staying in the refugee center with two small children. "My husband is in the hospital. He's sick, but he's getting help. This is very important. Belarus is a kind country," she stresses.
When talking to journalists refugees inquire about international news. They are not losing hope for the positive outcome. Most do not want to return to Iraq.
