MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian Railways and Tajik Railways have signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation, the press center of the Belarusian Railways told BelTA.

The document was signed in Dushanbe after talks between Belarusian Railways Director General Valery Verenich and his Tajik counterpart, Komil Mirzoali, who heads the state-owned enterprise Tajik Railways.

The document reflects the aspiration to reach a new level of partnership and deepen practical cooperation in digitalization and automation of railway transportation. This includes the implementation of software from the system for automation of preparation and processing of freight and commercial reporting documents, as well as railway automation and telemechanics systems across the Tajik Railways network.

The memorandum is also aimed at training of personnel and the exchange of knowledge and experience.

The parties discussed matters of bilateral relations, agreeing to develop freight transportation between Belarus and Tajikistan and to implement joint projects in digitalization.
