MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – Belarus' socio-economic development program for the next five years, i.e. 2026-2030, is in the works, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA reports.
“The work on the program is in full swing. We can say that the draft is ready. We have decided on key points. We have also determined priorities. We still have time. We are currently holding internal discussions. Most likely, the general idea of the program will have to be presented at the Belarusian People's Congress [its next meeting is scheduled for April this year],” the prime minister said.
He emphasized that it is the general layout of the program that will be presented: “These are our priorities and the tools we are going to use to achieve [the goals]. The program will be reviewed in the second half of the year in line with a plan. Intensive discussions are underway.”
