Over 800 cars queuing up at Belarusian border to enter EU

MINSK, 3 January (BelTA) - More than 800 passenger cars are queuing at the Belarusian border to enter the EU, BelTA learned from the Belarusian State Border Committee.

The busiest border crossing is the Polish border checkpoint Terespol (Brest on the Belarusian side), where 790 cars are queuing up to enter the EU. Over two days, it cleared 33% of the normal number of cars. A total of eight buses are waiting in front of this border checkpoint.

Some 30 passenger cars are queuing up in front of the Lithuanian border checkpoint Medininkai (Kamenny Log). A total of 20 cars and 10 trucks are waiting to enter the EU near the Lithuanian border checkpoint Salcininkai (Benyakoni).

Over 160 trucks are waiting in front of the Latvian border checkpoint Paternieki (Grigorovshchina). It cleared 31% of the normal number of trucks in two days.
