Over 6.4m Belarusians fully vaccinated against COVID-19

MINSK, 25 July (BelTA) – As of 20 July, over 6.49 million people in Belarus have got the first shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, of them over 6.4 million have completed the vaccination process, BelTA learned from the National Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health.

More than 99.4% of healthcare workers, over 85.8% of people working in education, over 91% of employees of residential care facilities and social workers, 97.4% of people aged 18+ living in residential care facilities have been vaccinated on the premises with two shots of the vaccine.

Over 88.4% of people over 60 and people with chronic diseases, as well as 84.1% of people working in retail, public catering, culture and sports, public utilities, over 82.2% of people working in the transport sector and over 88% of people providing public services completed the vaccination regimen.

Over 1.2 million people in Belarus older than 18 years have got booster shots of the vaccine.

Over 149,000 teenagers aged 12-17 have received one shot of the vaccine, of them more than 144,000 children have been fully vaccinated.
