Over 1,600 semi-trucks line up at Belarusian border to enter European Union

MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Over 1,600 semi-trailer trucks are waiting their turn to enter the European Union at the Belarusian border, representatives of the State Border Committee of Belarus told BelTA.

Trucks stand in queues in front all the European border crossings. A total of 1,627 semi-trucks are waiting their turn to drive across the border. The only Polish border crossing Kukuryki (Kozlovichi on the Belarusian side) is left open to trucks. It cleared 62% of the standard number of semi-trucks within the last 24 hours. Control agencies of the Latvian border crossing Paternieki (Grigorovshchina on the Belarusian side) allowed 29% of the standard number of trucks to enter their territory.

As many as 3,030 cars and 54 buses are waiting their turn to enter Poland via the border crossing Terespol (Brest on the Belarusian side). The Polish side cleared 23% of the standard number of vehicles within the last 24 hours.
