GRODNO, 11 February (BelTA) - Senya the raccoon, who became famous after his unusual arrival from the USA inside a shipping car container, has today been moved from the Oshmyany District Veterinary Station to the animal park in Baranovichi, BelTA has learned from the State Customs Committee.
The committee reported that this decision was made by the Oshmyany Interdistrict Section for Grodno Oblast of the Department for Humanitarian Activities at the Belarus President Property Management Directorate.
The raccoon's quarantine period has ended, and the animal has successfully passed veterinary examinations.
At the animal park, Senya will remain under the supervision of specialists. The State Customs Committee is confident that the raccoon will certainly come to love his new home.
