MOSCOW, 28 November (BelTA) – Moscow will play host to a meeting of the CIS Economic Council on 5 December, BelTA learned form the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The delegation heads are set to exchange views on current economic cooperation issues within the CIS. Discussion topics will include the draft concept for interconnecting major transit corridors crossing CIS member states and implementing the "CIS Statistics Development" project.
The plenary session will include approximately 10 agenda items. These are matters concerning the activities of the CIS Council on Railway Transport, the draft strategy for CIS congress and exhibition activities through 2030, and a comprehensive set of measures to develop and stimulate the use of natural gas as a motor fuel in CIS member states until 2030.
The parties are also set to discuss the events to mark the 35th anniversary of the CIS and to review the status of the CIS agreement on cooperation in exchanging radiation monitoring data and the 2026-2030 CIS strategy for hydrometeorological development.
Additionally, the meeting will designate CIS base organizations in the fields of hematology and comprehensive rehabilitation for persons with disabilities.
