Minsk to host CSTO military, economic conference in 2026

MOSCOW, 10 November (BelTA) – A military and economic conference of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will take place in Minsk in 2026. The relevant decision was made by the 23rd session of the Interstate Commission on Military and Economic Cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Astana, Kazakhstan, the CSTO press service told BelTA.

The commission decided in favor of holding the CSTO’s second military and economic conference in the city of Minsk, Republic of Belarus in 2026. Plans have been made to summarize results of the commission’s work over the course of 20 years of its operation and determine tasks for the near future during the conference.

Participants of the session discussed avenues of further advancement of military and economic cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Those include the training of personnel for enterprises and organizations of the defense industries (military-industrial complexes) of the CSTO member states, the creation of an interstate system for cataloging army articles of supply, efforts to ensure the mutual protection of rights to results of intellectual activity, which are acquired and used in the course of military and economic cooperation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

The next, 24th session of the commission will be held in Belarus in September-October 2026.
