MINSK, 19 December (BelTA) – Member of the Presidium of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress, Chairman of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee Aleksei Kushnarenko has talked to reporters about peculiarities of the program on Belarus’ social and economic development in 2026-2030, BelTA has learned.
Aleksei Kushnarenko said: “We’ve adopted the program on the country’s social and economic development for the next five years. I had the pleasure of taking part in developing and reconciling the initial document suggested by the government. Later on as a member of the working group I had the chance to polish it together with experts. I’d like to say that we’ve produced a truly balanced document that takes into account our capabilities. The development of the state is its foundation. Improving the quality of life of the Belarusian nation is the supreme goal.”
The head of the Minsk Oblast administration also pointed out that the development of the regions is one of the priorities for the next five-year term. “Colossal work has been done in Minsk Oblast over the past five-year term. We understand that it is necessary to enable appropriate conditions if we want people to work in the regions and stay to live there. This is why without a doubt we will continue this trend of the people-first state,” the official remarked.
Aleksei Kushnarenko drew attention to the fact that every region is individual and has its own peculiarities and strong points. “For instance, Myadel District with beautiful scenery of the Lake Naroch area, the historic look of Nesvizh District, Fanipol where about nine projects to set up new manufacturing facilities have been launched only recently. It is our foundation. Every region with its distinctive traits. We will use our capabilities in order to create conditions for people to live and work in comfort,” he emphasized.
During the session of the Belarusian People’s Congress on 19 December Aleksei Kushnarenko was elected member of the Presidium of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress. He remarked that he recognizes the responsibility he had been entrusted with. “First of all, I’d like to thank Belarus President, Chairman of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress Aleksandr Grigoryevich Lukashenko for nominating me as a candidate for the Presidium. I would also like to thank all the Belarusian People’s Congress delegates for the support I’ve received during voting. I see it as a token of high trust. At the same time I understand the entire responsibility I’ve undertaken. I am ready for this responsibility and will endeavor to use my entire experience and knowledge while working for the benefit of our country,” Aleksei Kushnarenko stressed.
