MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – All units of the Emergencies Ministry have been placed on high alert due to the severe weather conditions, Emergencies Minister Vadim Sinyavsky told the media following the report to the Belarusian president, BelTA has learned.
“All units - the National Center for Crisis Management and Response, the regional operational management centers - have been placed on high alert. We have checked communications with all our partner structures: housing and utilities, the energy sector, internal affairs agencies, other relevant bodies, executive authorities, and emergency commissions at various levels," Vadim Sinyavsky noted.
He further added: “We have verified the readiness of our equipment and dispatch services, and of course, in our daily briefings we place strong emphasis on ensuring the steady operation of this entire system.”
“When this system functions effectively, it ensures rapid response, timely mitigation of consequences, and the provision of necessary assistance," the minister added.
