MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) – RIFU Group of Companies from Japan would like to set up nursing homes for the elderly in Belarus, BelTA learned from the National Agency of Investment and Privatization.

RIFU Group of Companies is interested in building and running Japanese-style nursing homes for the elderly in Belarus. The concept of these facilities implies providing in-patient care as well as out-patient rehabilitation services, the agency informed. This type of nursing homes would also lease out equipment.

The National Agency of Investment and Privatization studied this proposal and arranged meetings with representatives of the Healthcare Ministry, the Labor and Social Security Ministry and the Minsk City Hall. The meetings resulted in an agreement to scrutinize this project further.

On 21-23 October a delegation of Japanese companies is on a business trip to Belarus. The delegation is led by Chikahito Matsushita, President of the Japan-Belarus Association for Trade and Industry Cooperation.
