MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova met with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, the press service of the upper chamber of the Belarusian parliament told BelTA.
Natalya Kochanova and Sergey Lavrov discussed a broad range of matters concerning bilateral relations and interaction in the international scene while focusing on the advancement of interparliamentary ties. The meeting reaffirmed the mutual intention to persistently bolster multifaceted cooperation and integration ties between the brotherly countries of Belarus and Russia.
On 25 November the Belarusian parliament delegation also participated in a solemn ceremony to lay flowers at the eternal fire near the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the commemorative signs Minsk Hero City and Brest Hero City. The signs stand in the parkway of hero cities in Alexander Garden in Moscow. Apart from that, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova and Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko visited the Pokrovsky Stauropegic Convent by Pokrovskaya Zastava in Moscow.
