MINSK, 2 February (BelTA) – Upon orders of the Belarusian defense minister a comprehensive test of combat readiness and mobilization readiness of Belarusian army units is in progress these days. Tactical command units, mechanized and armored army units, special operations forces, technical support, maintenance and logistics units are taking part in the readiness test. About 1,400 reservists have been recalled to active service for the duration of the readiness test.
Units of the 103rd Independent Guards Airborne Brigade went to an exercise area near Borisov for some target practice using the recently commissioned 120mm semiautomatic mortars NONA-M1. The army units accomplished their target practice missions without a hitch.
