MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) – Doctor of Military Sciences, Professor Nikolai Buzin outlined what Belarus can contribute to the Board of Peace in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
“We can bring components such as honesty to this organization, because we truly are like that. We can bring equality there. We can bring a willingness to speak not from a position of strength, but from a position of deep discussion on every issue,” Nikolai Buzin said. “And we can bring the wisdom accumulated over years of living in rather difficult conditions, facing constant attacks directed at us, and the ability to mitigate even the most acute tensions.”
The expert emphasized that Belarus, as a state interested in a comprehensive discussion of peace issues, is eager to work within any framework. “We are ready to work in the Board of Peace, the UN, the OSCE, the CSTO, the SCO, BRICS – in any organization that is ready to advance the agenda of peace,” he stated.
Commenting on the future prospects of the Board of Peace, Nikolai Buzin noted that the organization’s ability to resolve peace issues has yet to be assessed. “In essence, Belarus stands ready to work with all who seek peace on our planet. With everyone who is determined to stop the war. With everyone focused on development and the protection of human interests. Time will tell the rest,” the expert concluded.
