"On Point"
MINSK, 22 September (BelTA) – The UK leadership is attempting to draw U.S. President Donald Trump into Europe’s pro-war camp, Head of the Russian Center for Military and Political Conflict Studies Andrei Klintsevich said in a recent episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
According to Andrei Klintsevich, the UK officials are working very hard to persuade Donald Trump to support Europe in the Ukrainian conflict. As confirmation, he recalled the recent visit of the U.S. leader to the United Kingdom, where he held meetings with the prime minister and the King. Before that, Donald Trump last visited the country in 2019 during his first presidential term.
“This is unprecedented attention from the British monarchy. After all, for them presidents are not equals but temporary hirelings [following the logic of the British monarchs],” Andrei Klintsevich noted.
The expert emphasized that the repeat state visit was given the highest honors on the part of the British side. “As they say, Trump is being led by the nose in every way possible. Naturally, they are keen to pull Trump into their pro-war camp,” he added.
In his opinion, it is the United Kingdom that has been the main instigator of wars on the European continent over the past 100 years. “These people know how to find the weak spot that will provoke one movement or another,” Andrei Klintsevich concluded.
