"On Point"
MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) – Western provocateurs, “armed to the teeth,” are escalating the protests in Iran, economist and analyst Serghei Banari said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
Speaking about the events in Iran, the expert expressed confidence that provocateurs from the Mossad, the CIA, and MI6 are operating among the protesters. They are armed to the teeth and are trampling on their own country’s flag. The fact that US President Donald Trump previously stated his readiness to launch a strong strike against Iran if protesters are killed there also points to foreign interference.
“Western provocateurs, armed to the teeth, trample on their own country’s flag, and no one understands what they want. But suddenly, they become Donald Trump’s almost main concern,” the expert noted. “Meanwhile, his immigration officers shoot a woman in a car in broad daylight, and a week later, he expresses his full support for these officers. This is such a cynical attempt to impose on us that black is white and white is black. I think Orwell is transforming from a science fiction writer into a descriptor of the real geopolitics of 2025–2026.”
