MOSCOW, 7 February (BelTA) - The exhibition Spring of Light by the workshops of St. Elisabeth Convent from Minsk has opened at Belarus’ pavilion at VDNKh in Moscow, BelTA has learned.
The Spring of Light project aims to reveal the profound meaning of the journey toward Easter. “This is a space for silence, dialogue, and inner discovery on the eve of the principal Christian holiday,” the organizers said.

A thematic exposition has been set up in the central part of the pavilion, narrating the path to Easter through key events of the Lenten period. A cozy chapel has been arranged in the depths of the pavilion, a place for personal silence and reflection. For young visitors, a children’s lounge has been set up to host batleika puppet shows and workshops. There are also unique spaces, such as a scriptorium where one can see how ancient manuscripts were created. A charity fair has been organized in the pavilion to offer original ceramics, icons, books, natural cosmetics, and treats made in the convent’s workshops. Proceeds from purchases support the convent’s social ministry.

The opening of the Spring of Light exhibition began with a prayer service for the commencement of a good endeavor. It will be on display at VDNKh until 22 March. The event is held with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and with the support of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.
