MOSCOW, 24 May (BelTA) – The Kobalt 2024 exercise for command and control bodies as well as units of the special operations forces of the Collective Rapid Response Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will take place in H2 2024, the CSTO press service told BelTA after representatives of interested ministries and government agencies of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and the CSTO Secretariat discussed preparations for the exercise in the Russian city of Novosibirsk.
The CSTO press service said: “Participants of the meeting discussed and agreed the concept of the exercise as well as matters concerning the organization of comprehensive support. During the meeting the areas for staging the exercise, for deploying the headquarters of the command staff and the operations staff were reconnoitered.”
As a result of the staff negotiations an agreement was reached on holding the special exercise Kobalt 2024 in the second half of the year 2024, the press service added.
