Belarus win over 30 medals on BRICS Games 2024 day three

MINSK, 16 June (BelTA) - Belarus won five gold, 13 silver and 18 bronze medals on the third competition day at BRICS Games 2024 in Kazan, Russia on 15 June, BelTA has learned.

The BRICS Games 2024 champion titles were secured by Aleh Tamashevich (shotput), Tatsiana Khaladovich (javelin throw), Viyaleta Skvartsova (triple jump), Viachaslau Skudny (1,500m), Karyna Salauyova, Lizaveta Tratsiak, Yanina Lutsenka and Elvira Hrabarenka (4x100m).
 
Silver medals were collected by Mikita Kiryyevich and Ivan Kudzinau (karate), Darya Kheidar (weightlifting), Pavel Seliverstau (high jump), Dzmitry Savin (1,500m), Hanna Mikhailava (400m), Katsiaryna Belanovich (400m Hurdles), Aliaksandr Shymanovich (hammer throw), Pavel Sinenka and Mikhail Ivanchykau (double sculls), Andrei Fedarenka and Mikita Karneyeu (lightweight double sculls), Alena Furman and Viyaleta Karatysh (double sculls), and two coxed fours teams. 
 
Bronze medals went to Maryia Kruchanok, Anastasiya Shutava and Aleksei Shylo (wushu), Aleksei Vodchyts (karate), Tatsiana Hancharova and Krystsina Motuz (lightweight double sculls), Sofiya Yanouskaya, Mikhail Makarau and Hleb Shvydkou (badminton), Robert Kurouski (weightlifting), Mikita Zhygar (100m), Mikita Danilau (high jump), Tatsiana Shabanava (3,000m Hurdles), Aliaksandra Khilmanovich (400m Hurdles), Uladzislau Bulakhou (long jump), Hanna Tserlyukevich (race walking), Yahor Sharamkou (vault), Kira Makharevich (beam), and the artistic swimming team free.
