MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Moscow supports Minsk’s proposal to develop a charter of multipolarity and diversity for the 21st century. President of Russia Vladimir Putin made the relevant statement as he met with top officials of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, TASS reports.

Vladimir Putin said: “We support the initiative of Belarusian friends to develop a program document: a charter of multipolarity and diversity for the 21st century. It may formulate not only framework principles of Eurasian architecture with reliance on basic norms of international law. It may present a broader strategic view of the essence of the nature of multipolarity and multilateralism as a new system of international relations that will replace the West-centric world.”

“I believe it is important to work out such a document with our partners and all the interested states. I’d like to add that certainly, such complicated and complex matters should be discussed taking into account different approaches and positions while ensuring as broad representation as possible,” Vladimir Putin added.
