‘Every task has a solution’. Rogozhnik on his approach to challenges in Vitebsk Oblast

MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) – Aleksandr Rogozhnik, appointed by the head of state as Vitebsk Oblast Governor, shared with journalists his expectations for his work as the region’s leader, BelTA has learned.
“In any region, there are some issues, just as in any business or organization. Each task always has a solution, like in medicine, where you identify the problem, prescribe a treatment, and work towards recovery. This is the same here. There are no impossible tasks. Solving them takes time, responsibility, and perseverance to achieve results. All this leads to success,” Aleksandr Rogozhnik said.

To support his point, he cited the example of Orsha District, which a few years ago was seen as a "problem area" in the country. Following the instructions from the head of state, it was possible to restore the work of local enterprises and ensure a decent wage for workers. “This problem, which at first seemed unsolvable, was addressed and today presents no difficulties,” he added.

Journalists also asked Aleksandr Rogozhnik if his many years of experience in the manufacturing industry would be helpful in his new position. "Industrial enterprises are similar to any other organization. The approaches to solving problems are basically the same. So, I don't see it as a unique challenge," he stressed. "The president paid special attention to agriculture. The head of state has a particular interest in Vitebsk Oblast, and a working group has been established to explore the prospects for its development. We are tasked with implementing all these decisions."

Regarding personnel work, Aleksandr Rogozhnik emphasized that the primary goal for him in his new position is to determine "who is worthy of what among those who work". “We are not discussing the possibility of revolutionary decisions regarding leaders tomorrow. I am not in favor of destroying everything. Instead, we will first evaluate who deserves what, and then make decisions," he concluded.
