"On Point"
MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – The European Union plans to support Ukraine until 2034, as indicated by an expenditure article in the EU budget for 2028-2034, Bulgarian political analyst Plamen Paskov said in a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
"There is now an illusion that the war will end soon because intensive negotiations are underway about some peace options. This implies that peace is not far away. However, first, this is not peace but a ceasefire. Second, after the ceasefire, at best, there will be a truce, which will be violated. Third, the end of the war should not be expected before 2034,” Plamen Paskov said.
Explaining why such a timeframe is being discussed, Plamen Paskov pointed out that the European Commission suggested allocating €100 billion for Ukraine over 2028-2034. "The budget has been drafted. So the production of means of killing must continue, and the money must be placed in the 'right' wallets and the 'right' accounts," he emphasized.
