MINSK, 24 June (BelTA) – The European Games are a good investment in Belarus' promotion and the country's image abroad, Moldova President Igor Dodon told the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“I had a chance to attend the opening ceremony of the 2nd European Games and even to visit the Athletes' Village. Everything is up to par. From the point of view of Belarus' image and its promotion abroad, I believe that the 2nd European Games are a very efficient investment. It will bring more tourists to the country in the future. I am convinced that this event will pay off handsomely. We would like to host such an event, too,” Igor Dodon said.
In his words, since 2015 he has been to Belarus many times and toured local industrial and agricultural companies. “I see stability, I see that people are confident about the future. I have seen good infrastructure not only in cities. I believe that everything that is going on in Belarus is a good example for Moldova and other countries,” Igor Dodon said.
