Cuban coronavirus vaccines presented at Belarus' Healthcare Ministry

MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) – Cuban coronavirus vaccines have been presented at the Center for Examinations and Tests in Healthcare of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry, the press service of the Healthcare Ministry told BelTA following the meeting of the director of the center Dmitry Grinko with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Belarus Juan Valdes Figueroa.

Representatives of the center and the embassy who attended the presentation discussed bilateral cooperation in the field of medicines and medical devices.

Juan Valdes Figueroa told the attendees about Cuba's coronavirus vaccines - Abdala and Soberana - and the capacities of the Cuban pharmaceutical industry. Belarus has already registered Cuban medicines Leukocim, Heberprot-P and Epocim. Cuba also thinks highly of the assortment and quality of medical devices produced in Belarus.

Dmitry Grinko told the Cuban guests about the tasks of the center and the world-class laboratories that have foreign accreditation and WHO prequalification.

Reviewing the outcomes of the meeting, Dmitry Grinko noted that the participants exchanged information on regulation and registration of medicines and medical devices, including in the context of COVID-19. The Cuban participants wanted to learn more about registration and circulation of medicines and medical devices, including Belarus' domestic rules and the rules of the Eurasian Economic Union.
