CSTO countries discuss expansion of information and analytical cooperation

MOSCOW, 22 December (BelTA) – Moscow hosted consultations of the heads of press services (information departments) of the foreign ministries of CSTO member states on 22 December. Attending the event were also representatives of the CSTO Secretariat, the Joint Staff, and the Parliamentary Assembly of the organization, BelTA learned from the CSTO press service.

"Participants thoroughly discussed a wide range of issues related to expanding information and analytical cooperation. In connection with the planned establishment of an information and analytical department within the CSTO Secretariat in the first half of 2026, the importance of institutionalizing the information work of the unit was emphasized. In this regard, the parties highlighted the advisability of adopting a document to regulate this area," the press service stated.

The Russian side stressed the importance of developing the CSTO Secretariat’s online resources, particularly modernizing the organization’s official website. The Secretariat staff informed the participants about the preparation of a conceptual report in 2025 on "Greater Eurasian Partnership: Shared Responsibility for a Secure Future".

The next consultations of the heads of information departments (press services) of the foreign ministries of CSTO member states are planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
