Bolbatovsky: Demand for treatment in Belarusian health resorts is growing

MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – Demand for treatment and wellness services in Belarusian health resorts is increasing, Director of the National Center for Recuperation and Health Resort Treatment Gennady Bolbatovsky said at the ceremony to open the 28th international tourism exhibition Otdykh [Leisure] 2026 in Minsk on 9 April, BelTA has learned.

Gennady Bolbatovsky noted that in recent years the country’s health treatment sector has not only been operating steadily but has also been gaining momentum. “This is evidenced by the demand for these services. Interest in our health resorts grows every year. Last year, record figures were achieved both in the number of citizens who underwent treatment and wellness programs and in the number of foreign guests,” he said.

Last year, visitors from 80 countries stayed at Belarusian health resorts: for the first time, the number of foreign guests reached 260,000.
