BelTA's journalist receives medal for contribution to development of Eurasian Economic Union

MOSCOW, 12 July (BelTA) – Eduard Pivovar, a journalist with the Belarusian news agency BelTA, has been awarded the medal “For contribution to the development of the Eurasian Economic Union”. The ceremony took place in the Eurasian Economic Commission headquarters on 12 July.

When presenting the medal, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan praised BelTA's work to provide wide coverage of the Eurasian integration. He expressed hope that BelTA will continue to pay considerable attention both to the achievements of the Eurasian Economic Union and also to the challenges facing it.

The medal “For contribution to the development of the Eurasian Economic Union” was instituted to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the EAEU Treaty. The decision of the Supreme Eurasian Council to award the medal was signed by the presidents of the five member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.
