MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) - BelGee presented its new electric vehicle model, the Geely EX2, in Minsk on 15 October, BelTA has learned.
According to BelGee Director Gennady Svidersky, the electric car is already available at dealerships for test drives. The new model is a budget-friendly option: it can serve both for urban use by legal entities and as a second car for private owners. Orders are now being accepted. The Geely EX2 is scheduled to enter the market in November 2025
“In August, we introduced the new X5 model, and in September, the economical X80 hybrid model [that has both an electric motor and an internal combustion engine]. Today we are presenting a budget-friendly EV model, which we are betting heavily on. I hope it will take its rightful place in the Belarusian market,” the director said.
He added that while e-vehicles are a new direction for BelGee, experts consider it a promising one. “The country has sufficient electricity supply, good road infrastructure, and relatively short distances, which is why we will continue to develop Evs in the Belarusian market. Regarding exports, our strategy is to sell under our own BelGee brand,” he explained.
The new model has become one of the most anticipated premieres of the autumn. The announced price starts at Br44,900.

Gennady Svidersky noted that the company launched electric vehicle production in 2025. Several EV models have already rolled off the assembly line and can be seen on city streets.
He added that while e-vehicles are a new direction for BelGee, experts consider it a promising one. “The country has sufficient electricity supply, good road infrastructure, and relatively short distances, which is why we will continue to develop Evs in the Belarusian market. Regarding exports, our strategy is to sell under our own BelGee brand,” he explained.
At the plant, the Geely EX2 is assembled using large-unit assembly. “For all models, we first test the market, so that later we can align sales volumes with the investments needed for localization and full-scale assembly. Both the EVs and hybrids already launched are in high demand. According to the data I have, almost every dealership has waiting lists. This shows that customers like the models. One of the reasons for launching the Geely EX2 is that, since EVs are still new for buyers, drivers want to try them out and gain their own experience. That’s why they pay close attention to price,” Gennady Svidersky stressed.
The car is equipped with a 116-horsepower electric motor, providing acceleration and agility for city driving. The Geely EX2 will be available in two trim levels, each offering modern features: intelligent driver-assistance systems, a multimedia system with wireless services, climate control, and heated comfort seats.
The vehicle is powered by a 39.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, with a maximum speed of 130 km/h.
