Thanks to good scores at all stages of the competition the BSU team has been named Belarus' champion among 25 Belarusian teams. Similar titles were bestowed upon participants from Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, and Kazakhstan.

Yevgeny Bondarenko, a post-graduate student at the Chemistry Department of the Belarusian State University, took a silver prize during the IT Planet competition. He designed a device for analyzing radiation spectrum. The product is considerably cheaper than an imported one, which costs thousands of U.S. dollars. The new instrument can be used for educational purposes, for instance, for studying qualities of light or in analytical chemistry.
